PacificSource: Health Equity Plan Summary
Challenge
Take a jargon-heavy, legal document that was built to be reviewed by government regulators and convert it into a warm, approachable summary that can be easily understood by Medicaid members and community groups.
Solution
In hours-long remotely connected working sessions I met with the client to help identify key messages from the original document and filter out anything unnecessary for the intended audience. Then, I completely rewrote every line to an appropriate reading level and created an information architecture with hierarchy that was easy to follow for the designer to create the layout. All of this was accomplished under an extremely tight deadline, including 8 different versions by region and language. It was an incredibly fulfilling project that took immense effort and collaboration to pull of the quality we achieved on-schedule.
